Domaine Bouchard Pere et Fils Beaune 1er Cru Monopole Clos de la Mousse

Established in 1731 by Michel Bouchard, Bouchard Pere & Fils stands strong as one of the oldest estates in Burgundy. His son Joseph purchased the first vineyard of the Domaine in Volnay called 'Les Caillerets'. Bernard Bouchard purchased the Chateau de Beaune in 1820, which is still in use today. The estate extends on 130 hectares of vines, including 12 Grands Crus and 74 Premiers Crus, accruing a total of 450 separate vineyards. The team heavily invested in new winemaking facilities in 2005 in the village of Savigny-Les-Beaune. Gravity operations to transfer the fruits and the juice to barrels preserve the quality of the fruits. They make, on average, 100 wines per year and the cellar can take up to four thousand barrels at a time allowing the Bouchard to micro vinify each of their Cuvee before blending. We are thrilled to have the fantastic wines from Bouchard Pere & Fils to offer you, Meursault Genevrieres is a Premier Cru vineyard sitting amongst the greatest in Burgundy. Only a handful of Domaines have the chance to own a piece, and Bouchard Pere et Fils is one of them. The Estate currently works with 2.65ha in this vineyard, essentially coming from 'Genevrieres-Dessus', the higher part of the vineyard. 'Les Genevrieres' is an extraordinary terroir that shows magnificently well in 2019. A wine drinking well known but to hold for many years too.
